Hi, I’m Hira — a mom of two and the founder of The Loom Works.

Like many mothers, I wanted to build something meaningful for myself without missing out on the precious, everyday moments with my children. With my husband’s support, that dream turned into The Loom Works — a brand rooted in love, purpose, and a deep appreciation for timeless craftsmanship.

I grew up surrounded by the beauty of Kashmiri artistry, and I wanted to share that heritage with the world. Every shawl in our collection is thoughtfully crafted in Kashmir — a region with over 300 years of weaving tradition. Our artisans bring generations of skill to life through techniques like Kani weaving, where each motif is carefully woven by hand using wooden bobbins. Some pieces take weeks to complete — a true labor of patience, precision, and dedication.
